What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid helps students and families pay for college and other postsecondary programs. It can help cover costs such as tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, supplies, and transportation.

There are several types of financial aid, including:
  • Grants and scholarships, which usually do not need to be repaid
  • Work study, which allows students to earn money through part time employment
  • Loans, which must be repaid after leaving school
Students and families are encouraged to complete the FAFSA each year to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid.
