Career Concentrations
At NSHS we want to provide students with opportunities to explore potential areas of interest that could lead to future careers. Our Career Concentrations enable students to take a series of 3 courses and engage in extra curricular learning opportunities that give them authentic experience in a specific field. Additionally, students can include Career Concentration experiences on resumes and college applications. Unlike the CTE Pathways, students are not required to complete work based learning hours or acquire culminating industry credentials.
Students interested in pursuing a career concentration should meet with their school counselor to select the best sequence of courses that will satisfy the North Smithfield High School graduation requirements.
